Our One Village soup kitchens were started over covid 19 to help those affected by the pandemic. We continue to serve our communities within the Kouga area to reduce the impact of poverty and improve the quality of life of all people in our communities. The soup kitchens provide meals and restore the dignity to those we serve and it is sustained by committed and compassionate volunteers and also, by the generous contributions of donors like you.

Who benefits most from our soup kitchens?
We feed children and the elderly predominantly through our soup kitchens. One Villages' 48 soup kitchens throughout Kouga are open to any person that is in need of a warm meal and a safe place to eat. We currently serve over 1800 meals a week and with your help, we plan to grow this number.
It takes a full stomach to feed the mind and all it takes is 2.5kg of potatoes to feed 50 children in the form of a healthy vegetable and soya mince soup we serve. In today’s times, it really does take a village and we hope you join ours and make a difference in a child’s life today. In the words of Mother Theresa “ if you can not feed 10 000 children, feed one”

To get involved and make a difference in your community you can donate a monthly sum, donate pre-cooked frozen soup, or fresh ingredients. Because happy bellies love better!
