Welcome to the One Village website!
One Village is an NPC operating out of Jeffreys Bay. We assist more than 48 soup kitchens in the Kouga region, from Humansdorp through to Hankey.
Our soup kitchens feed many poor households who struggle to make ends meet.
One Village was conceived during the 2020 lockdown, when two dynamic ladies, Evelyn Markides and Sonya Hofler, realised that most families in the Kouga region were heading for disaster because they were denied the opportunity to earn a living.
Sonya, the then owner of Bay Pasta Co, converted her restaurant into a hub where food parcels were assembled for distribution, while Evelyn oversaw distribution.
From there the operation evolved into what is now One Village.
Of course, it’s impossible for One Village to exist without individuals and companies who assist by way of donations.
So please join hands with us to help those in our communities who have to eke out a living, by volunteering your time or by becoming a donor.
